chu nom fonts

Postby johnkn63 » Thu Oct 26, 2006 12:32 am

Dear All,

I am producing a font of non-unicode nom (characters) based on many of which are chu nom characters. I have 3000 charcters todate and hope to make about ten thousand charcters. I plan to place these in the PUA of unicode, either plane 15 or plane 16.

I noticed that winvnkey mentions that some chunom fonts exist using plane 15. Were can I find such fonts?

Also I would like if popssible to make the code points the same where the nom are the same.

About half the nom charcters I am making come from one dictionary, which has about 5 thouasnd non unicode characters. A pdf version can be found here http://www.brightalex.com/at/zd/guzhuangzi.pdf .

This is quite a long term project however I do expect to have something ready to release in the first half of 2007.

with best wishes
John

{apologies I only know a few words of vietnamese -- therefore anything to me would need to be in English}
